Gourmand meaning one who takes great pleasure in good food and drink, the creperie lives by the philosophy that everyone can be a gourmand whether you are seven or 77 years old. Found in six locations throughout France, New Yorkers won’t find a Chef at JEAN LE GOURMAND, but instead a finely-tuned revolutionary machine. This seamless cooking instrument at the creperie was discovered by the team in Brittany, France, a region known for these delicate pastries. Through rigorous testing and small tweaks to the original design, the team produced a custom crepe-making all-star. The machine’s speed can be adjusted dependent on the number of customers, making up to 180 an hour, with one made every 20 seconds. At JEAN LE GOURMAND, one will find flawlessly crafted affordable, homemade savory and sweet crepes that don’t miss a beat.
